Our 11 school horses

Woody
Wonderful Woody — a true gent to have around. An ex Master’s horse, his kind nature makes him a great member of the team.
Bay Buzz
Buzz is great fun and works wonderfully both flat and jumping — he's ridden by a range of clients and university students and turns his hoof to everything.
Grey Buzz
Grey Buzz is an ex hunter, wonderful on the flat and over jumps — he is ridden by a range of clients and university students.
Tim
Tim is a long-standing member of our team — kind and patient, and works well with both our junior and adult clients from novice to experienced. Used for flat and jump lessons.
Paddy
Paddy is a true gentleman. He lived here at Wickstead a few years ago and has come back for a quieter life off the hunting field. His school work is established and he's a firm favourite.
Duke
Duke is a fantastic all-rounder, used for both flat and jump lessons by our adult and older children. A great confidence-giver over fences with his laid-back attitude.
Frankie
Frankie is learning the ropes here at Wickstead. We're very pleased with how he performs in both flat work and jumping, and he's popular with junior and adult riders alike.
Legend
Legend is a wonderful ride for our smaller adults and teenagers — great fun for both flat and jump lessons, and very popular.
Saffy
Home-bred Saffy is a wonderful school horse. She's very patient with our novice riders, and loves a bit of fun with the more experienced jockeys.
Butler
Norman is our gentle giant — very dependable and wonderful with our novice riders.
Flash
Flash is our gentle giant, very dependable and wonderful with our novice riders. He loves a fuss and a bit of fun jumping and hacking around the farm — he has a huge fan club.
