A working yard, family-run, for riders of every age
From a first pony lead-rein lesson to livery for your own horse, Wickstead Farm has been teaching riders of all levels and caring for horses and ponies on this Highworth yard for years. We're proud to be one of the first centres approved by The Pony Club, and a British Horse Society approved centre.

500 acres of off-road riding, on our doorstep
Off road riding and river crossings through 500 acres of beautiful Wiltshire countryside, plus a professionally built grass cross country course with a range of jumps to suit all abilities.
Our fully lit 20m × 50m indoor arena has a Martin Collins Active Track surface, and the yard is covered by CCTV with the proprietor living on site.

21 horses and ponies, each with their own personality
Every lesson, camp and hack at Wickstead is carried by our own school horses and ponies — kind, dependable, and each one a firm favourite with someone.
Woody
A true gent to have around — an ex Master’s horse with a kind nature.
Duke
A fantastic all-rounder for flat and jump lessons, a great confidence-giver over fences.

A real character who loves a fuss and attention, with a huge fan club.
